The next four shots show how truly steep the Wall sections could be! Only three of our tour group of nine ventured into the southwestern section of the Great Wall, and that was about the norm for this section. It was not as crowded as the northeastern section that we arrived on, and the vendors were quite the determined lot! I bought a "I Climbed the Great Wall" T-shirt here for $3 and that was more to get her away from me. (Stephen said I was taken though- I should have gotten two shirts for $3 as that the shirts are extremely cheap and will fall apart in the wash!) Anyway, this is the worst of the climb. I am standing at the top of the climb up, trying to catch my breath!
